Session Player
The Session Player system is a secure cloud based software application system that simplifies the life of session contractors, music editors and session musicians.

Session Contractors can simply and reliably communicate with musicians in their roster and book them for recording sessions and other performances.

Music Editors (music preparation) can load cue definitions from spreadsheets, MusicXML and Dorico files, then distribute cues amongst session dates and find the best fit.

Session Musicians can quickly and reliably respond to session opportunities using the bespoke Session Player mobile app for iOS and Android with calandar and maps integration.

1. Session Contractors
Session Player allows contractors to:

Organise and plan recording session rosters;

Easily and reliably communicate with musicians via the bespoke Session Player mobile app for iOS and Android;

Directly integrate with accounting systems such as Xero or MYOB;

Monitor and calculate musician session costs;

Monitor and adjust the musician roster for sessions;

Generate musician payroll;
-
Generate session entry personal lists;

Connect with other contractors to expand their musician roster;

Connect only with musicians on their roster as desired;

A Session Contractor Mobile app will become available to allow monitoring of session musician responses on the run;

Manage percussion lists;
2. Music Editors (Music Preparation)
Session Player allows the planning of sessions from music cues;

Upload cue descriptions from spreadsheet, MusicXML or Dorico files for easy and reliable input of cues;

Session Player extracts cue name and instrument list from MusicXML and Dorico files to ensure nothing is missed;

Manage cue overdubs (striping), cue duration and complexity to place cues into appropriate sessions;

Monitor and adjust for session music recording times against music complexity, player count and music duration.
3. Session Musicians
Once your sessions are organised, send out requests to either specific musicians or to a range of musicians and receive replies directly into the system easing communication hurdles. Using the bespoke Session Player mobile app for iOS and Android musicians can quickly:

Respond to direct notifications;

Check session dates against their schedule;

Check the recording location;

Reply or further actioning if and as necessary;

Choose the session contractors that they wish to work with.
